Introduction

Established in 1967, Career Consultant Division is dedicated to facilitate students' professional capacity and enhance their competencies to cope with the changing labor market. We provide students with comprehensive career assistance, including career planning, career exploration, and career counseling. In addition, the latest information of career trend and job openings is also provided. Our mission is therefore to assist students to understand themselves, strengthen their professional knowledge and skills, enhance their competitiveness, and thus enable them to successfully obtain employment opportunities.

Our mission is to provide a wide variety of career assistance, including career planning, career exploration, career counseling, and the latest information of career trend and job opportunities. We assist students to understand themselves, strengthen their professional competency and skills, and enhance their competitiveness in order to successfully obtain employment opportunities.
 

Service Items

• Career Planning & Career Exploration

A. We arrange career planning lectures with a variety of topics every semester. We invite distinguished people, experts and scholars from diverse fields, and outstanding alumni to share their life experiences with students.

B. We assist students to develop their career plan through some career assessment tools such as UCAN Tests and CPAS Aptitude. Also, we further arrange professional career consultants to provide detailed result analysis and counseling service.

• Career Counseling & Guidance

A. Senior supervisors from various enterprises and university professors are invited to provide students one-on-one or group career counseling to assist their career orientation and career plans. We provide students with the following services:

(1) Career exploration and analysis.

(2) Industry trend analysis.

(3) National examination counseling.

(4) Overseas education counseling.

(5) Resume writing skills guidance.

(6) Interview skills guidance.

B. We conduct Career Coaching Program which invites senior supervisors from 20-23 enterprises and distinguished people in their professional fields to guide students how to prepare themselves to the workplace. Those career coaches give students practical advice to assist their career plan. As to those enterprises, they not only establish eminent images in the society but also seek for the ideal employees for their corporations.

C. We organize local/overseas internship programs in summer or winter vacation to provide students with opportunities to experience the workplace. The program helps students to develop their career plan, enhance their competencies, and assist them to search for jobs that are suitable for them. 

D. We offer specific budget to the departments in campus every semester that enables departments to arrange career planning lectures and corporate visits for their students. In so doing, students can learn career experience from alumni. Moreover, they are able to get in touch with the current situation in workplace and future employment trend in order to make preparation for employment market.

• Employment Information Service

A. Chinese/English e-paper is issued regularly to provide diverse information about campus activities, news related to career, job opportunities, etc.

B. We collect news on graduate school entrance examination, civil service examinations, employment news, overseas education, etc. to supply students with study or employment information.

C. Southern Career Fair and Recruiting Orientations.

D. Fall campus recruitment.

E. We assist enterprises to post job openings on our website which enables students to search employment opportunities that are suitable for them.
